Il processo ha avuto un iter lungo e tormentato in quanto l’accusa è stata costretta a rimandare la requisitoria e nominarne un nuovo perito a causa di "rilevanti omissioni" nelle trascrizioni delle intercettazioni. A carico degli imputati è caduta l’accusa principale, quella di far parte della cosca guidata dal padre Diego e dallo zio ergastolano Giuseppe Mancuso, elementi di spicco dell’omonimo clan di Limbadi.
