PALERMO - More open debate in the wake of the publication, the magazine Rcs Seven of an interview with the son of Bernardo Provenzano, Angelo, in which the latter denounced the poor health of his father claiming him a different sentence from detention. Senator Beppe Lumia, a member of the Anti-Mafia Commission, he immediately responded by inviting the boss's son to convince his father to work, rather than invoking clemency for him. But the, hard, words of Lumia, reply today with a letter which we publish below, the attorney Rosalba Di Gregorio, a lawyer representing Provenzano.
LETTER - "I read in the media the" open letter "to Senator Lumia Angelo Provenzano. I'm really sorry that interviews of the young Provenzano have provoked such a reaction of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Democratic Party. I'm sorry because, indirectly, this may embarrass the press and I apologize, but I regret even more for the contents of the message of the senator. The son of Mafia boss, who studied and lives in 800, believing to live in an advanced society, does not invoke any mercy, but cuts urged by journalists (who did not go looking for) on health that, in our rule of law is, in fact, also a right of detainees, even those at 41 bis. "
"The" heavy responsibility "of Bernardo Provenzano," the legal continues, "are evaluated by judges in criminal trials and his detention is assigned to the circuit 41a. The "accounts", so it must do so Bernardo Provenzano, no Angelo Provenzano who has no account to be pay to the company. Very heavy and I would say is threatening me, then, the message expressed, not too subtly, by Senator Lumia: Angelo Provenzano if not "convince" the father to work becomes "accomplice" of the secrets of his father, appalesandosi "conspiratorial"?! More still: without this persuasion, Mr. Angelo Provenzano (and his entire family, including descendants) can not redeem themselves from the "curse"! The charge of conspiracy and abetting a matter for the judiciary which until now has not included, so that the statement of Senator Lumia can only be seen as slanderous. "
"On the 'human'," concludes the attorney Rosalba Di Gregorio, "Provenzano's sons are serving for years the" curse "that part of the advanced society, different from 800 that also gives to those who have their faults . In terms of "morality" I would like an observation and a question: 'children' pieces diverted institutions and politics "are, too, cursed by Senator Lumia and those who share the thought? Why Senator cursing is not directed to them, too, accusing them of complicity, silence and, therefore, labeling them as mobsters? ". Editorial
